Barcelona's 'New Lionel Messi' Makes Shocking Revelation Ahead Of Return To Camp Nou

A former La Masia star is thrilled to be making his return to Barcelona.

Kays Ruiz-Atil finally completed his return to Camp Nou after arriving on a free transfer from Paris-Saint Germain.

The 18-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Catalans and is now looking forward to his debut.

According to Ruiz-Atil, he always wanted to play for Barcelona. Despite the unfortunate event that saw him parting ways with the Spanish side, he still envisioned himself returning to his boyhood club one day.

“I am very excited to have returned, since I was little I wanted to play for Barça, but I experienced the ban from FIFA,” Ruiz-Atil told Mundo Deportivo. “I always had it in my head to go back, finally it has been possible.”

Like other Barca youngsters, Ruiz-Atil, who has been hyped by some as the “New Lionel Messi” is also looking forward to joining the first team.

“I would like to be in the first team and see if I make my debut,” he admitted. “I am very happy to return home, Barça has always been a family to me.”

In the past season, Ruiz-Atil enjoyed a senior team experience with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, the club he has also been grateful for apart from Barcelona.

An earlier report said Barca boss Ronald Koeman “will have several Barca B players” assessed in pre-season training this month.

Ruiz-Atil and his fellow Barcelona Academy graduate Ilias Akhomach were among the players included in the said training.

Koeman has proven in his first campaign as Barcelona’s manager that youth could play a huge role in the team’s success, having deployed a few youngsters this past season.

For the Dutchman, veterans like Lionel Messi are always vital to the team, but it is also very important to hone the young players as they are the “ club's future."

"Of course, it's easier to bring young players through,” Koeman said in March. “In the Netherlands because the standard of the league isn't like it is here, but I think Barcelona has a lot of talent in their ranks.”

"They [the youngsters] deserve these opportunities,” the manager added. "Playing youngsters isn't an excuse, though. We have to win things here. If you can do it with youngsters, even better. For me, the most important thing is that they're competitive. Age doesn't matter for me, it's what I see on the pitch that matters."

For the upcoming season, Barcelona will be looking to keep some of the remarkable youngsters who impressed in the latest campaign, particularly Pedri and Ilaix Moriba.

However, a report said that Barca has been dealing with a slight problem in the contract extension talks with Moriba and his agents.
