‘Basketball Wives’ Star Jackie Christie’s Daughter Defends Evelyn Lozada After Death Threats

Following the airing of “Basketball Wives” Season 6, episode 15, Jackie Christie’s daughter Ta’Kari Lee had some things to say after her mother threatened to kill Evelyn Lozada in the midst of all of their drama.

On Monday night, Ta’Kari shared an Instagram post not only calling out her mother for her lies but also pulling cast member Tami Roman into the drama in an attempt to get her point across.

“Tami stays liking my sibling’s pages and my step dads… No problem there… But Ev liking pics of my kids is wrong?” Ta’Kari wrote hinting that her mother is upset because she no longer holds control over her daughter.

“I never called her an abuser or even a bad mother, I said I was treated differently and I was backed up by my sister who came on the show and said the same thing,” she wrote.

In Ta’Kari’s book “Lights to Her Shadow,” Ta’Kari recalled several of her childhood experiences with her mother. In the promo, for “Basketball Wives” Season 6, episode 16, Evelyn can be seen crying as she reads Ta’Kari’s book which reveals that Jackie used to constantly shame her daughter for her flaws.

The young mom ended her Instagram post by expressing sympathy for her estranged mother. “I’m sorry people are coming for you but when u responded to my son’ s injury on TMZ, u kinda opened that door.”

Ta’Kari captioned her post by explaining that her mother cannot dictate who she chooses to stay in contact with. “From my son’s accident to this… I can communicate with whomever I wish… And u continue to do the same… Jackie should be concerned with why she don’t communicate with me,” she wrote.

“To think all this stemmed from someone helping me is shocking,” Ta’Kari wrote in an earlier post, referring to the time when Evelyn donated money to help pay for her injured son’s medical bills.

On her part, Jackie has not directly responded to her daughter’s latest Instagram post. However, she did share a photo of herself wearing a black suit which could have been subtly directed at her child.

“Jackie Christie .... Been a self made Success a long time and never once let the opinion of others or lack there of.. matter! The best thing I ever done for me was To Believe In Myself!” she wrote in an Instagram post not long after the episode aired.

During the Monday night episode, Evelyn received an early copy of Ta’Kari’s book and read a few lines from it. In the excerpt, she stated that every time she hears Kanye West’s song “Gold Digger” she thinks of her mother.

In the past, Ta’Kari has claimed that Jackie is infatuated with material things and those items were a priority over her children, Ta’Kari herself in particular.

Evelyn and Jackie are expected to address Ta’Kari’s book and allegations in the upcoming episode of the reality series and from the looks of the promo that aired after the episode, the conversation will be far from civil.

“Basketball Wives” Season 6 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on VH1.
