‘Bates Motel’ Season 2 Spoilers: Norman Freaks Out In Shocking New Sneak Peek Video From Episode 6, ‘Plunge’

“Bates Motel” fans have been on the edge of their seats waiting for the next Norman freakout. Things got pretty heated earlier this season when he confronted his Uncle Caleb about sexually assaulting his mother, but that’s nothing compared to what’s coming in episode 6.

Thanks to a sneak peek video from episode 6, “Plunge,” viewers can see that Norman’s buddy-buddy relationship with Cody is going to be deteriorating -- fast. The clip shows Norman and Cody on a group hangout with Emma and her new man, Gunner. The group appears to be going for an afternoon swim in the local lake until something goes terribly wrong.

Emma can be seen gasping for breath with a towel around her … while Norman confronts Cody.

“What the hell do you think you were doing telling her to do that,” he says in a venomous tone to his new friend.

“I didn’t know,” Cody replies, backing up from a visibly angry Norman.

“She could have died, and it would have been your fault,” Norman bellows. “Everyone isn’t just some toy for you to play with.”

Gunner tries to stand up for Cody, but Norman quickly puts him in his place. “Shut up and stay out of this,” he says, a crazy look on his face.

But as quickly as the rage comes, it disappears. After watching Cody shuffle off, Norman returns to Emma, wrapping his arms around her and telling her it’s all going to be okay.

But that sneak peek clip from episode 6 isn’t the big shocker. In a second sneak peek video posted by Spoiler TV, “Bates Motel” fans can see that Cody and Norman will start off on better terms. The video shows the pair sneaking a bottle of rum from Cody’s house, but forced to hide in the closet when her dad unexpectedly comes home. The act leads Norman to have one of his blackouts … remembering a time when he was forced to hide in a closet with his mother.

“We’re not going to tell Daddy where we are,” Norma tells a toddler Norman. “We’re just playing, okay? It’s just a game. It’s just a game … I’m not going to let anybody hurt you.”

But flashes reveal it was anything but a game. Norman begins to remember times when his father would abuse his mother, slapping her and pushing her around the house.

“Plunge” will definitely be an episode that “Bates Motel” viewers won’t want to miss. It will find Norma and Norman’s relationship threatened by a growing secret – whether it has something to do with Norman’s past or his new friendship with Cody remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Dylan will be asked to “manage an explosive situation.”
