"Bates Motel" returns to A&E on Monday, March 3 at 9 p.m. EST. A&E

Season 2 of “Bates Motel” is officially less than a month away! To celebrate the return of A&E’s hit series, we’ve got our hands on the synopsis for the season premiere … and you MUST check it out.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

The season 2 premiere of “Bates Motel” is titled “Gone But Not Forgotten” and will air on A&E on Monday, March 3 at 9 p.m. EST. According to the leaked synopsis for episode 1, fans can look forward to the following drama in White Pine Bay:

“Norman fixates on Miss Watson’s death; Norma worries about the future of the motel when plans for the bypass move ahead of schedule; Bradley is driven to extremes as she searches for her father’s killer.”

For those that missed the season 1 finale, the series concluded its freshman year with the death of Miss Watson. The teacher, also known as “B,” was found on the floor of her room in a pool of blood. And while it’s unclear who murdered her, the No. 1 suspect for fans is none other than Norman Bates.

Norman’s Freddie Highmore teased at Comic Con that the death of Miss Watson “sets things up nice for season 2,” and as we now know, will introduce a brand new character. That new character in question is Nick (Michael O’Neill), Miss Watson’s father, who will be heading into White Pine Bay to seek revenge against her killer.

And as the synopsis teases, Nick won’t be the only one searching for a killer. Bradley will be continuing her hunt to find out who set her dad on fire, and may drag Norman’s half-brother, Dylan, into the mix. But that doesn’t mean Sheriff Romero will be sitting back with his feet up this season. Viewers will get a chance to learn his backstory and motive as he becomes a major player in season 2’s “new major conflict.”

As for Norma? The second season of “Bates Motel” will pick up during the summer, which should be “tourist time” for White Pine Bay. But plans for the bypass means that the Bates Motel could be missing out on some potential customers and that could put the Bates family in some financial trouble.

If the motel wasn’t enough to stress Norma out, she also has to deal with the reappearance of her estranged brother, Caleb. In season 1, Norma revealed that she had been raped by her brother. But Caleb (Kenny Johnson) revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the siblings have different versions of what happened.

“Obviously in an episode last season, she says [her] brother used to rape [her] in high school, so that’s all her son knows,” Johnson explained. “But what is the real story and what’s the background, nobody is really going to know.”

Fortunately, Norma will have some light at the end of the dark tunnel in the form of a new love interest. Here’s hoping George (Michael Vartan), a charming divorcé, doesn’t have a dark side like Detective Shelby.
