The newest installment of Batman The Dark Knight Rises has fans salivating over recently released trailers and anticipating the film's arrival in 2012. But, Batman has been one of the most recognizable superheroes ever since the character originated in a 1939 comic book by artists Bob Kane and Bill Finger.
