'The Batman' Trailer: Robert Pattinson Takes His Mask Off; Zoë Kravitz Teases Him [Watch]
Warner Bros. Pictures dropped "The Batman" trailer Monday that reveals the chemistry between the Batman, played by Robert Pattinson, and the Catwoman, portrayed by Zoë Kravitz.
The official Twitter handle of "The Batman" movie shared a two-minute, 39 seconds trailer that starts with Batman driving his Batmobile.
In the next scene, Pattinson is shown at a public gathering where actress Jayme Lawson, who plays Bella Real, calls him Bruce Wayne, Batman's secret alias. She tells him, "I wouldn't be bothering you here, but your people keep telling me you're unavailable."
She further tells him how he can be doing more to help the city. Real reminds Wayne how his family has a history of philanthropy but he doesn't seem to be doing much for the society. As Real talks to Wayne, visuals of him getting into a fight are shown.
Later in the trailer, Catwoman and Batman can be seen teaming up against the criminals. Catwoman tells Batman, "If we don't stand up, no one will."
While Catwoman and Batman fight together against the bad guys, they are also shown sharing intimate moments together, including Catwoman teasing Batman.
Batman could be seen removing his mask in front of the monitor after the secret villain reveals that he knows Batman's real name.
"Vengeance equals justice for both the Bat and the Cat. Watch the new trailer for The Batman now. Only in theaters March 4," the official Twitter handle captioned the trailer.
Fans took to the comments section to share their reaction.
"Every time a see a new trailer this movie looks better and better. Can’t wait to see it," one of the fans wrote while another user added, "This has potential to be on the 'Dark Knight' trilogy level. That alone is very exciting."
Batman was first introduced in DC comics released on March 30, 1939. Considering the upcoming movie, it is a reboot of the Batman movie franchise helmed by director Matt Reeves.
"The Batman" is slated to release exclusively in theaters on March 4, 2022. Over the weekend, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar revealed that the movie will release on HBO Max 45 days after its theatrical release, on April 19, 2022.
