'Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice': Evolution Of Wonder Woman Costume Over The Years; Leaked Scene Description
A newly leaked scene description from “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” talks about Wonder Woman battling a powerful villain from the comic books. Meanwhile, a new report focuses on the evolution of the character’s costume.
A report by Costume Discounters looks at the different costumes Wonder Woman has been wearing over the years. The character first appeared in the 1941 comic “All-Star Comics #8” wearing a red top and a blue skirt, with bracelets and boots. Over the years, although there have been many changes to the costume, certain elements like the color combination have remained the same.
Diana Prince was seen wearing trench coats and all-white jumpsuits in the 1960s comics, before coming back to the original red and blue in the 70s. This was also the period when Lynda Carter appeared on TV screens as the crime fighting female superhero.
The character again underwent a change in the 1990s with shades of black and also a leather jacket. The 2011 costume of Wonder Woman comes closer to what Gal Gadot can be seen wearing in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The actress will be reprising her role in the 2017 solo movie, but there are no news so far about what the next costume will look like.
The second trailer of the movie shows Gadot playing a more action oriented role. A new report by Heroic Hollywood shared details about a fight scene between Wonder Woman and a villain in the movie.
[Spoiler alert]
According to the report, the comic book character Doomdsday will be one of the villains in the movie. In a fight sequence with the villain, Diana will chop off his hand with her sword. A “Bone Blade” will grow back in the place of the chopped off arm and the fight will continue, according to the report.
The result of the fight has not been disclosed in the report and the fans have been asked to wait till the movie is released to find out what happens. “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to be released on March 25, 2016 in the U.S.
