'Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice': Gal Gadot Talks About Role As Wonder Woman

In recent interviews, Gal Gadot spoke about what it was like to play Wonder Woman in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and also talked about her fitness routine and beauty secrets. The actress has been chosen as the face of Gucci’s new perfume.

Speaking to E! Online, Gadot said that Wonder Woman is “the ultimate symbol of strength” and that she never imagined that one day she would grow up to play the character in a movie. The character has appeared in many comic books and animation series and was very popular in the 1975-1979 TV series. The actress pointed out that the character has influenced many women over the years.

The actress also said that being a woman these days isn’t easy. "Nowadays being a woman is hard, because we have to be the best wife, best mother, best worker, best everything," she said. However, she also pointed out that women were also “more empowered,” “stronger” and “sophisticated” and women can achieve whatever they want.

Sophie Schulte-Hillen of Vogue notes that Gadot will have to get used to the attention she has been getting by playing Wonder Woman. When the actress was at a Gucci party at Berlin’s Soho House, she reportedly sent a “palpable current of energy through the room” when she entered. The actress is the face of the new Gucci Bamboo perfume.

Sharing some of her beauty secrets, Gadot revealed that she deals with jetlag by drinking lots of water and freshly squeezed orange juice. The actress also said she has the ability to fall asleep quickly and that she usually does so on an airplane before takeoff. “If I need to go to bed, I will put myself on ‘off,’ ” she said.

Gadot’s fitness routine involves working out at the gym at least three times a week for at least an hour. Her exercises vary from TRX to pilates, and when there is no gym around she exercises in her room. The actress also likes to swim or paddleboard when she is staying near the ocean.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to be released March 25, 2016, in the U.S.
