'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': Latest Batmobile Revealed At Licensing Expo In Las Vegas
The Batmobile from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," a forthcoming film starring Ben Affleck, was unveiled at the Licensing Expo held at Las Vegas on Wednesday. It was the reportedly the showstopper of the event, which also featured promotional material from other future superhero films. In photos revealed by Collider, the Batmobile looks like a heavy armored tank consisting of an active defense mechanism, driving gear and a launch indicator.
According to official specifications revealed by the website, the Batmobile will be constructed by Batman in “complete seclusion” and will be “over-powered with an unmatched hybrid of prototype military and civilian performance technologies.” It will also feature a defense mechanism based on the stolen technology of Wayne Industries. It will be 20 feet long, 12 feet wide and will feature a “twin .50 caliber retractable machine gun turret.”
The film will hit theaters March 25, 2016. It has been largely shot in Detroit, and will show Batman traveling to Metropolis to confront Superman, as he thinks the latter must be kept in control. But as they take on each other a new common threat arrives, planning to destroy humanity.
Other cast members include Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Jasom Momoa and Gal Gadot. Momoa will play Aquaman.
