Everyone knew it was coming, but it’s finally here. At San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, Warner Bros. showed up to its Hall H panel to tease its upcoming expanded DC Comics Universe as well as drop a new trailer for the highly anticipated “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

In the first full-length trailer for the upcoming superhero throwdown, audiences will learn exactly what puts these two DC comic book characters at odds in the first place. As it turns out, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) was in Metropolis when Superman (Henry Cavill) destroyed it battling General Zod (Michael Shannon) in “Man of Steel.” Now with the public divided on whether or not this god-like figure belongs on earth as a hero or villain, Batman has made up his mind and determined that the horror he saw in Metropolis is his to stop by fighting Superman.
