Almost two weeks ago the announcement was made that Adam Levine would not be returning to "The Voice" for Season 17. And while there was initially much speculation surrounding the Maroon 5 singer's difficult decision to leave. It seems that, in the end, it was just time for him to move on (despite missing out on a huge payday).

The former "The Voice" judge and his wife, Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo, are excited about the change. ET reports that the model says that the news of his departure from the NBC competition show is, in fact, "good news."

During an interview on "Today With Hoda and Jenna" on Wednesday, Prinsloo told the hosts that Levine's departure is "good news for me, good news for the kids." She went on to say, "He is excited to get home and for the first time have nothing to do. I'm like what am I going to do with him?"

Levine and Behati began dating in 2012 and married in Mexico in 2014. The couple shares two daughters, Dusty Rose, born 2016, and Gio Grace, born in 2018. Surely Levine will be able to take advantage of some quality time with his daughters.

The "Payphone" singer does have one other obligation before he truly has "nothing to do", though. He will be on tour with his band Maroon 5 throughout the summer. Fortunately, this won't interfere with family time, according to E! News.

During her latest interview, Behati said she used to attend many of her husband's shows, and took their daughters to see him on tour when he was in the U.S. "We stayed in New York for 10 days and they kind of did all around. We've done a few trips here and there," she said. "The older they get and the easier and more fun it will be."
