Bella Hadid’s Plane Hits Wall At JFK Airport As Model Heads To London Fashion Week
Bella Hadid's trip to London for Fashion Week might be slightly delayed. The 18-year-old model said she was one of the passengers onboard a Virgin Atlantic flight at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York when the plane's wing hit the side of a fence Saturday morning.
Port Authority told NBC, the plane was pushing back from Gate 3 of Terminal 4 when the wing smacked into the fence. Thankfully, no one was hurt but passengers were asked to leave to plane.
Hadid tweeted about the incident, writing, "My plane just hit a wall." Another passenger on the plane wrote that the aircraft "shuddered as it hit the wall," but said everyone was safe. According to CBS, there were 276 people on board the London-bound plane.
Hadid recently wrapped New York Fashion Week, walking in shows for Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Kanye West's Yeezy Season 2. Shortly before boarding her flight, the model posted on Instagram, "bye nyfw... sup London towwwn! On my way to uuu!." London Fashion Week kicked off Sept. 18 and runs through to Sept. 22. It’s not clear if Hadid was scheduled to walk in any runway shows on Saturday.
