  • Berry is determined to be "fitter than ever" and be better at overall fitness this year

"Below Deck Sailing Yacht" star Paget Berry has shared a message that seemed to hint at his feelings regarding his split from fiancée Ciara Duggan.

Berry and Duggan were together for four years before getting engaged last year but called it quits earlier this month. Following their breakup, he took to social media to post a cryptic quote.

"Nobody has it easy. Everybody has issues. Life happens. You never know what people are going through," read the message he shared on his Instagram Story Tuesday. "So, pause before you start judging, mocking or criticizing others. Everybody is fighting their own war."

He also added some commentary of his own in the post, writing, "Sticks and stones hey," along with a shrugging emoji.

Berry proposed to Duggan in July 2020 during a trip to Italy. They started dating in 2016 before they starred together on "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" Season 1, which premiered in February 2020. They moved into their first home together in rural France in October last year.

However, fans noticed that they had not posted any photos of them together recently on social media. In one of Duggan's recent posts on Instagram, one fan asked if she and Berry were still together, and she confirmed that they had ended their relationship.

"Things happen. We’re still on good terms and wish each other nothing but the best," she added.

He also confirmed Duggan's update about their relationship in his post on Instagram. Berry shared a snap of himself enjoying a good hike. In the comments section, one fan asked if he was still with Duggan.

"no we are not," he wrote, before adding in another comment, "All good! Loving life at the moment personally and we are still friends."

The exact timing of the former couple's split remains unknown, Us Weekly noted. However, in February, their relationship seemed to be still going strong, with Captain Glenn Shepard even commenting about their wedding.

"I don’t know if I’m going to officiate [their wedding], but I definitely plan to be there," he joked on Feb. 24. He added that Berry and Duggan were "definitely" enjoying their engagement and "always having fun" together.

In his most recent post, Berry dedicated this year to being "fitter than ever." He shared a shirtless photo of himself that showed off his abs, and in the caption, he said he wanted to be "better at all round fitness."

"I am the 200lb guy who lifts heavy shit for fun but I also want to be a more overall athlete! This means getting out the comfort zone and trying news things," he added.
