Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Not Reconciling, Finally File For Divorce

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may get along when it comes to co-parenting their three kids, but there is no chance for the exes to reconcile any longer as they have filed for divorce.

Affleck and Garner announced their amicable split on their supposed 10th anniversary in June 2015. The estranged couple has since remained good friends and put up a united front for their children. Unfortunately, they apparently have decided not to get back together as a couple and will only be connected due through their parenting duties as they are now determined to go their separate ways.

This week, Garner and Affleck finally filed for divorce, TMZ reported. Both stars requested for joint legal and physical custody of their three kids: Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Sam, 5. The pair left the spousal support agreement open for discussion.

Garner and the "Justice League" star did not sign a prenup, so all their earnings during their marriage will be divided equally despite the fact that Affleck made a lot more than Garner. The divorce will likely be finalized within a period of six months.

This news comes a month after it was reported that Affleck and Garner called off their divorce and decided to work on their relationship. “Jen has called off the divorce,” a source close to Garner told People. “She really wants to work things out with Ben. They are giving things another try.”

The source added that calling off the divorce was a mutual decision that Garner and Affleck made. The pair reportedly decided to reconcile as the exes still love each other, and they also want to try their best for their kids.

Shortly after the reconciliation news surfaced, Garner was spotted looking very happy on the set of her upcoming film, “Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda,” fueling rumors that she and her estranged husband may get back together. “I have never seen her look so happy before,” an onlooker previously told People.

While Garner is busy filming her new movie, Affleck has been put on daddy duty and reportedly spent some quality time with each of his kids. Last month, he spent a day with Sam in Disneyland, had an ice cream date with Violet and even walked Seraphina to school.
