Despite announcing their separation last month, former couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner put on a united front for their children and spent a family day together in Atlanta during the weekend. The two Hollywood stars were spotted attending a school fair with their three children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, E!News reported.

Photos showed Affleck wearing a baseball cap while Garner looked comfortably chic in a flowy frock and white tennis shoes. Both were captured wearing their wedding rings.

The family is currently living in Atlanta while Garner is filming her upcoming movie “Miracles From Heaven.” Affleck is staying in the guesthouse of Garner’s rental so they both can take care of the children.

E! reported this confirms what a source previously revealed: that the split is “not contentious.” The source added, "They grew apart. They were great parents together but they were not always on the same page."

The family of five seemed to enjoy the school fair where they played in the bouncy castle and participated in a game of softball, Entertainment Tonight reported. This was not the first time the former couple have put their children first. Last week, Affleck was spotted with a puppy in his arms, reportedly a present for the kids.

Meanwhile, Affleck and Garner are in no rush to finalize their divorce and sort assets, a source told People. The former couple are instead “concentrating on being a family right now” and plan to divide their assets via mediation, the source said. Another source close to the pair said Affleck will be spending most of the summer in Atlanta, adding: "That was the plan. He's happy to be there with the family."

Affleck and Garner were married for 10 years before the two announced their separation last month.
