Ben Affleck, New Girlfriend ‘Don’t See Much Of’ Jennifer Garner When They’re Together
Although Ben Affleck seems happy in his relationship with his new girlfriend Ana de Armas, it appears Jennifer Garner has been keeping her distance from the couple.
Affleck and Garner finalized their divorce in 2018 shortly after the “Batman” star finished rehab after receiving treatment for his alcohol addiction. The ex-spouses share three children, daughters, Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, and son, Samuel, 8.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Affleck and Garner continue to co-parent their children. However, sources told Us Weekly that the 47-year-old actress hasn’t spent a lot of time with her ex-husband’s new girlfriend.
“Ana and Ben love spending time with each other by themselves right now. They don’t see much of Jen [Garner] when they’re together at this point,” the insider said.
On April 2, Us Weekly reported that Garner has had “very friendly” interactions with de Armas but isn’t ready to hang out with Affleck’s girlfriend.
“They haven’t all hung out with the kids as one big group. Jen is not there yet,” a source told the publication.
“There is no doubt that they will do dinners and hangouts with the kids when Jen is ready, but no one is pressuring her to jump into that,” the insider shared.
Earlier this month, sources close to de Armas told the outlet that the actress is thriving in her relationship with Affleck. “Ana’s friends are constantly telling her how lucky she is to have Ben and think he is so charming, cool and fun. They’re so happy for her,” the insider said.
Meanwhile, Garner has put her marriage with Affleck in the past and has been dating businessman John Miller. “Jen has completely moved on from Ben in a romantic sense,” a source told Us Weekly in March.
“She considers him a friend, thinks he is a good dad to their children and respects him. She is happy in her own life … and happy for him and his relationship,” the insider added.
For now, it appears Garner and Affleck are successfully co-parenting their kids and content in their respective relationships.
