Ben Affleck Reportedly Struggled After Jennifer Garner Started Dating, Actor Forced To Move On

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have maintained a special bond with each other after their divorce. The former couple also co-parents their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

According to InTouch Weekly, things weren’t always this easy for Affleck and Garner. In fact, knowing that Garner has started dating John Miller was quite hard for Affleck in the beginning.

“It was very hard for Ben at first, even though he’s the one that pretty much walked away from the marriage. It was a reality check that he wasn’t prepared for,” a source said.

The insider went on to say that Garner moving on with her life and with Miller was what encouraged Affleck to move on with his life.

However, the claims made by the tabloid should be taken with a grain of salt. It is important to note that it was Affleck who dated first shortly after his divorce from Garner.

The “Batman v Superman” star got into a relationship with Lindsay Shookus after he was linked to his children’s nanny, Christine Ouzounian. Garner, on the other hand, only started dating Miller two years ago.

Garner and Affleck have also been very supportive of each other’s relationships even at the beginning. In fact, months after their divorce, the “13 Going On 30” star spoke with Vanity Fair and said that she doesn’t blame the failure of her marriage all on Affleck. At the end of the day, Affleck will always be her friend and the father of her children.

During his interview with Diane Sawyer last month, Affleck also had nothing but wonderful things to say about Garner. This proved that the former couple’s relationship is at its best.

“What I want to say publicly and privately is, 'Thank you. Thank you for being thoughtful, considerate, responsible, and a great mom and person,” he said.

Meanwhile, the same tabloid gave an update about Garner and Miller’s relationship. They said that the couple is still together but they are unable to meet because of the coronavirus lockdown. Since Garner and Miller both have kids with their previous partners, their main priority is their children.
