Ben Affleck Sends Jennifer Garner Sweet Mother’s Day Tribute After Family Outing

Although Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may be divorced, it doesn’t mean the “Batman” star isn’t grateful for his ex-wife and other women in his life. On Sunday, the 46-year-old posted a sweet tribute to the “Camping” actress and his own mom, Christine Anne Boldt.

Affleck and Garner finalized their divorce in October 2018, more than three years after they announced their split. With encouragement from his ex-wife, the actor entered rehab for his alcohol addiction over the summer.

For Mother’s Day, Affleck shared a photo of Garner and his mother on Instagram, while attaching a lengthy caption about his intention to make two donations in their honor.

“Happy Mother’s Day to the two incredible mothers who have shown me the meaning of love. Today I am making donations to two organizations in their honor: @cut50’s #DignityForIncarceratedWomen campaign, a national initiative to help reduce the prison population while making our communities safer, and @NationalBailout, an incredible organization that works with groups all over the country on Mother’s Day to bail out black moms and caregivers, provide supportive services and fellowship opportunities to help end money bail and pretrial detention.”

Affleck’s sweet post for Garner comes after the two were spotted sharing a laugh while attending their kids’ soccer game on Saturday. The ex-spouses share custody of their three children, Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7.

This isn’t the first time the actor has said kind words about his ex-wife. During an appearance on the “Today” show in March, Affleck complimented Garner for her dedication to their children.

“I’m lucky [my kids have] got a great mom, and she helps out a great deal with making sure we co-parent in as good a way as possible,” he said.

“Dads are so important to kids, and it’s our responsibility to be there for them, and to be present, to be mindful, to be attentive, to be part of their lives, to be as in it as moms. That’s really the central preoccupation in my life, you know, the focus of my life is what I love doing,” Affleck added.

Although it is uncertain whether Affleck and Garner will spend Mother’s Day together, it’s clear the actor wanted to use the day to show appreciation for the women in his life.
