Bernard Madoff's sister-in-law selling home for 6.5 million
Disgraced financier Bernard Madoff's sister-in-law Marion Madoff has listed her Palm Beach, FL home for $6.5 million.
The 5,473 square feet single-story home has five bedrooms and it is renovated and fully furnished with gardens and fountains, a pool, a wood-paneled office, outdoor entertaining area and a three-car garage, according to the WSJ.
The public property records show that Marion and her husband, Peter Madoff, bought the home in 2001 for $3.8 million and transferred ownership solely to Marion Madoff in 2006. The couple also owns a home in Old Westbury, NY, and at least two other mansions at the Glen Oaks Club in Suffolk County, reports Move.com.
Peter Madoff was the former chief compliance officer at the firm of his older brother, who is now serving a 150-year sentence after pleading guilty to a $65 billion investment fraud that swindled thousands of investors worldwide.
