Bernie Sanders Promises To Disclose Information On Aliens If Elected President
Vermont Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has promised to disclose information on aliens and UFOs if he gets elected as president in 2020.
Sanders was questioned by Joe Rogan in his podcast, “Joe Rogan Experience,” whether the U.S. government would come clean about aliens if he was elected president.
Sanders said, “Well I tell you, my wife would demand I let you know.” He added that his wife is not a UFO nut, but she often asks him what he knows as a senator. “No, she’s not a UFO nut. She goes, Bernie, ‘What is going on do you know? Do you have any access?’" he told Rogan.
On being pressed, Sanders agreed to divulge the information to the public on Rogan’s show.
His comments come at a time when there has been heightened interest in aliens and UFOs. The Pentagon had revealed in 2017 that it had set up a program to study the issue of “unidentified aerial phenomenon."
In June Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman Mark Warner (D-Va.) and two other senators were briefed by the defense department about a series of encounters the navy had with an unidentified aircraft. Navy personnel reportedly told the Pentagon that they encountered an aircraft that appeared to defy the laws of physics and aerodynamics.
Sanders hasn’t been particularly vocal about aliens or UFOs, a topic Rogan frequently asks his guests about. President Donald Trump had told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he wasn’t a believer in UFO’s existence. “"Well, I don't want to really get into it too much. But personally, I tend to doubt it. I'm not a believer, but you know, I guess anything is possible,” Trump said.
Sanders, among the lead candidates in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries, surprised many by deciding to be on the podcast and breaking the traditional political narrative. He handled himself fairly well, presenting his views and campaign reforms he would be in favor of. He spoke at length about health care, forgiving student loans and gun laws.
Rogan too was praised for hosting a pragmatic discussion, allowing Sanders time to explain himself and talk without much interruption on key issues.
