As the holiday shopping season is underway, Best Buy Mobile, the mobile specialty retail unit of Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE:BBY), will be offering a minimum of four free smartphones every day through December.

The free phones require activation through Best Buy and a new 2-year agreement with the participating carrier. The offer is available at all Best Buy stores, Best Buy Mobile specialty stores and online at www.BestBuy.com/FreeSmartPhones.

People want smart phones and we couldn’t think of a better way to end the year for our customers than to offer free devices every day in December,” says Shawn Score, president of Best Buy Mobile.

Smartphones to be featured include: Droid Incredible by HTC (Verizon), Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (AT&T), LG Optimus S (Sprint), LG Optimus T (T-Mobile).

The retail giant had announced a similar Free Phone Friday promotion in October.
