Bob Odenkirk teased some new details about “Better Call Saul” Season 5 in a recent interview. The actor talked about how the show will pick up pace going forward, with some exiting events to look forward to.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Odenkirk said that “everything’s on fire” in the next season. “…it’s just brining down around us,” the actor said about the chaos in the next season.

Odenkirk will be reprising his role as Jimmy McGill. Jimmy is expected to start using the name Saul Goodman going forward after legally changing it in Season 4 finale. The character will be busy practicing law once again, and he may have a list of some crooked clients lined up to start working.

Comparing the spin-off to the main “Braking Bad,” Odenkirk said that the show is at a stage when things will start to pick up pace. The actor said that the plot so far was a slow build-up, like going up the ramp of a roller-coaster. In “Better Call Saul” Season 5 the ride will be downhill, and “it just cannot stop.”

Another big character who will be returning in the next season is Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a former cop who joins Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) in his drugs distribution racket. The character had a tragic arc in the “Braking Bad” series, and the spin-off is showing the background of the character to explain his motivations a little better, Screen Rant reported.

“Better Call Saul” Season 5 is quickly catching up to the timeline of the main series. One question fans have is whether the show will end with a cameo appearance of Walter White (Bryan Cranston). A theory by Screen Rant suggested that the cameo is a bad idea because it will take the spotlight away from Jimmy, who is the star of the spin-off.
