Beyonce and Baby Girl Blue Ivy Carter: Photos Throughout the Pregnancy

Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z welcomed their baby girl Ivy Blue Carter on Saturday evening. The singer announced that she was pregnant with Jay-Z's child in August at the MTV Video Music Awards last year.

E! News reported that sources told the network that Ivy Blue is the name Jay-Z has been telling his close friends. However, reports are now stating that the baby girl's name is Blue Ivy and not Ivy Blue. The network also reported that Blue Ivy Carter was born via scheduled C-Section at Lennox Hill Hospital.

Us Weekly has also reported that the child's name is Blue Ivy.

Us Weekly also noted that the actress also clarified the name of Beyonce's daughter for a confused fan who asked what exactly the baby's name was. It's Blue Ivy!'

The New York Daily News reported that the couple rented out the entire fourth floor of the Upper East Side hospital for about $1.3 million.

No pictures of Blue Ivy Carter have been released as yet and reports prior the star's delivery were that the couple wouldn't be selling their child's photos to the celebrity magazines.

Now that the baby has been born fans are wondering if they will be seeing pictures of Beyonce and Jay-Z's first child any time soon. However, the Huffington Post reported that the private couple won't show their baby on the cover of a celebrity weekly.

They are one of the most private couples, a magazine editor told the Huffington Post, adding that several offers were made to Beyonce's team for exclusive pictures of the mother and baby but there has been no response.

An industry insider, told the Huffington Post that the couple's net worth of more than $700 million, indicating Beyonce and Jay-Z aren't strapped for cash.

If Beyonce and Jay-Z do decide to share their child with the world, they will probably go the same route as Tom Cruise and Katie [Holmes], Huffington Post reported being told by the editor. Instead of selling the images to a weekly publication, they would give them away for nothing to lock in a cover of a monthly like Vanity Fair. But knowing this couple, it is unlikely we will ever see a staged picture of the child.
