In one of the many memorable acts of the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, hip-hop's power couple — Beyoncé and Jay-Z — alluded to the fact that they would be adding one more to their family.

At the beginning of her joyful performance Beyoncé emerged from the darkness, saying, Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me! MTV News reports.

Beyoncé, who announced her pregnancy on the red carpet during the pre-show, chose to sing one of her up-beat songs off her latest album, 4.

When the time came for her performance, all most likely wondered if she could hit her regular, shocking dance moves while pregnant, but once she hit the stage her dance steps were cute, and yet pregnancy-approved.

The songstress and and her all-female backup singers' outfits mimicked clothing from the1991 movie, The Five Heartbeats, which depicted legendary R&B singing group The Temptations.

I would be a mom right now, for sure, she told MTV, in response to a question from fans. I love kids, and I would probably have done this a lot sooner.
