Beyoncé H&M Campaign: 'Bow Down' Singer Is New Face Of Clothing Line [PHOTO]
Beyoncé is the new face of H&M, and will be a part of their summer campaign. The promotional photo of the 31-year-old superstar showcases the singer in some pieces from the clothing store's upcoming collection.
Laying on a beach chair, Beyoncé rocks black stilettos, patterned short-shorts, a white low-cut silk top, and gold bangles. Her wavy hair is pinned to one side, and she wears a hair flower accessory.
The campaign is titled "Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M." Beyoncé, who until recently has kept her love life with husband Jay-Z private, has also named her upcoming world tour “The Mrs. Carter Show.” Jay-Z’s real name is Shawn Carter.
“I’ve always liked H&M's focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements -- fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island," Beyoncé said about her partnership with H&M.
"It felt more like making a video than a commercial."
H&M has previously worked with big names including Lana Del Rey and David Beckham.
Beyoncé isn't the only singer who's making her mark in the fashion world.
Rihanna debuted her collection last month during Fashion Week for River Island in London.
Rihanna expressed enthusiasm in July about having her own fashion line. "I've been wanting to design my own collection for some time," she said. "River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with, and working with a British, family-run business also really appealed to me."
The company said, "We're all huge fans of Rihanna's style here at River Island, so you can imagine how flattered we were when she approached us about working together and bringing our fashion experience to her range."
