Beyoncé And Jay Z To Buy $100 Million House With $1 Billion Net Worth
Lemonade star Beyoncé and her husband, rapper Jay Z, are slated to purchase a $100 million home in Bel-Air. The entertainers are about to close escrow, TMZ reported Monday.
The Carters aren’t the only ones happy about the purchase. Their neighbors have reportedly been trying to sell their home since 2015, but with a wonky driveway that that goes downhill and is narrow they haven’t been able to find a suitable buyer.

However, their luck will likely change since Beyoncé and Jay Z are reportedly moving in next door. The price of the neighbors’ home is $18 million, which listing agents said is “now a steal,” TMZ wrote.
As of May, the Carters officially became a $1 billion couple. Most of the wealth was attained by the rapper, who raked in $810 million. Beyoncé, who made Forbes’ “America’s Richest Self-Made Women” list, has riches that accumulated to $350 million. Together, they have a combined net worth of $1.16 billion.
Jay Z, 47, isn’t the richest hip-hop artist, though. He trailed Sean “P. Diddy” Combs by 10 million.
Beyoncé was able to attain her wealth because of her nonstop work ethic. “I'm never satisfied,” she told Forbes in 2009. "I’ve never met anyone that works harder than me in my industry.”
Jay Z added $200 million to his wealth when his signed with Live Nation in May. It was a 10-year deal and he’s slated to perform a slew of concerts.
“This renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation,” Jay Z said in a statement about the deal. “For the next ten years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape.”
While they’re one of the richest couples in the nation, their relationship hasn’t always been easy. But they were able to work through their “huge” problems and attain happiness as parents, People Magazine reported Wednesday.
“It is not a secret that Beyoncé and Jay had huge problems a couple of years ago,” an insider told the magazine about the couple, who are also parents to 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and newborn twins Rumi and Sir. “It was obvious to everyone that spent time with them.”
Their daughter is what helped them stay together. “Even though they didn’t get along great, they were together a lot because of Blue,” said the insider. “There was always tension in the air, but they both worked very hard to get to the place where they are now.”

After they worked through their issues, they were happy to welcome the twins into their family. “Jay was great during Beyoncé’s pregnancy and continues to be great. He loves being a dad and Beyoncé seems very happy,” the source said.
Rumi and Sir were born June 13.
