Beyonce and Jay-Z Take Blue Ivy Carter Home After $1.3 Million Controversial Hospital Stay
Beyonce and husband Jay-Z checked out of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York with their newborn baby on Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman confirmed.
According to the spokeswoman, the couple took their daughter home on Jan. 10, three days after she was born.
Baby Blue Ivy Carter was taken to their new Manhattan apartment.
The R&B Queen and Jay-Z made an exit from the upper East Side hospital's side gate, the E. 76th St. loading dock, in a motorcade of black SUVs at 1:30 a.m., New York Daily News reported.
According to New York Daily News, two vehicles with blacked-out windows first made an exit, followed by a van.
As soon as the two SUVs exited from the hospital, a van parked on a nearby corner reversed into the same loading dock before the gate closed, reopening minutes later.
One of the SUVs blocked the traffic so that Beyonce, Jay-Z and the baby riding in the van could not be impeded and the second SUV pulled in behind the van to stop anyone from following the trio.
Immediately, security personnel began leaving the hospital, eyewitness told New York Daily News, describing the exit as very precise, very military-like.
On Friday night, Beyonce was admitted into the hospital using the name Ingrid Jackson.
According to reports, the couple also paid $1.3 million to seal an entire hospital floor during the entire stay.
