It’s official — more than five years after welcoming their first child together, Beyoncé and Jay Z are expanding their adorable little family.

The “Formation” singer announced the exciting news on Wednesday in an Instagram post. Beyoncé shared a photo of herself standing before a floral wall while cradling her growing baby bump. In the caption the 19-time Grammy award winner seemingly announced that she and her husband are expecting not one, but two babies, writing that they had been “blessed two times over.” She furthered speculation by adding that their family was “growing by two.”

Fans were quick to congratulate the songstress on Twitter. Some joked about the news, while others called it a welcome reprieve from the seemingly constant barrage of political commentary on social media. Neither Beyoncé nor Jay Z has responded to the outpouring of love.

It is unclear, at this time, how far along Beyoncé is in her pregnancy. She has not announced her due date nor has she revealed the gender of her unborn. She and Jay Z celebrated the fifth birthday of their first born, Blue Ivy Carter, on Jan. 7. Beyoncé shared no photos from the celebration, though Us Weekly reported that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were in attendance. The pair did not bring their children North West or Saint West with them.

Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement follows months of speculation about the status of the couple’s marriage. Following the April 2016 release of Beyoncé’s album “Lemonade,” many believed Jay Z had been unfaithful, which launched a witch hunt for a woman known only as “Becky with the good hair.” Neither Beyonce nor Jay Z addressed the rumors about their marriage being over, though her pregnancy appears to be confirmation that they’re going strong.

Although Beyoncé and Jay Z only have one child, the award-winning singer has been pregnant three times. In 2013, she opened up about suffering a miscarriage nearly two years prior. The pregnancy came before she and Jay Z announced that they were expecting daughter Blue Ivy. In her HBO documentary “Life is But a Dream,” Beyoncé revealed that she’d heard the child’s heartbeat, calling it “the most beautiful music,” before the miscarriage.

“I flew back to New York to get my check up — and no heartbeat,” she said (via Us Weekly). “Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat.”
