Beyoncé's Mom Tina Knowles Marries Actor Richard Lawson In All-White Wedding; Family Celebrates Aboard Yacht Party

Tina Knowles and actor Richard Lawson tied the knot on Sunday. According to TMZ, over 300 people attended the fancy affair, which was held aboard a large yacht in California. Knowles' celebrity daughters Beyoncé and Solange were present with their husbands Jay Z and Alan Ferguson. Blue Ivy joined her parents Beyoncé and Jay Z for the big event.

Pictures obtained by TMZ showed off the all-white wedding party fashion, similar to Solange’s chic all-white November nuptials. Beyoncé rocked a lace dress and headband as she and mom Tina inspected the boat before the party around noon. Blue Ivy got her spring fashion look going with a similar white dress. Jay Z joined the party not too much later, decked out in all-white duds. Solange also appeared in a white dress alongside her white-suited music-video director husband. The reception lasted into the night.

Tina Knowles managed Beyoncé’s career during her Destiny’s Child days but stepped away from the manager role in 2011. Knowles, now 61, is active in the fashion industry with her collections House of Deréon and Miss Tina by Tina Knowles. In 2010, she worked with Beyoncé to open the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center for Phoenix House in Brooklyn. She divorced from her first husband, Matthew Knowles, in 2011. When Matthew remarried in 2013, neither of his daughters attended the ceremony.

Richard Lawson has a long acting career dating back to the blaxploitation heyday with stints in “Scream Blacula Scream” and the “Shaft” TV series. The 67-year-old worked primarily in television with roles in “Chicago Story, “Dynasty,” “Sister Sister” and “All My Children.” Lawson is perhaps best recognized by moviegoers for his role in the '80s horror classic “Poltergeist” or as Frank in Tyler Perry’s 2010 adaptation of “For Colored Girls.” He also teaches and directs at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and offers classes to aspiring actors through his namesake studio.

This is the second marriage for both Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson.
