Beyonce's Pregnancy: Will it Affect Clint Eastwood's 'A Star is Born'?
After a few months a star will be born. Beyonce is pregnant. This time, it's confirmed.
Beyonce chose the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night to tell the world she is expecting her first child.
Ever since Beyonce got together with rap star and now-husband Jay-Z and became the it couple in the hip-hop world, rumors of pregnancy has persisted.
The couple, known to be private about their personal lives, has repeatedly ignored and denied such speculation.
Therefore, it came as a surprise that Beyonce and her obviously pleased husband chose to share the pregnancy so publicly.
But Beyonce’s pregnancy announcement could have a drastic effect on Clint Eastwood's rendition of A Star is Born.
The musical remake was set to begin filming next February, but according to Deadline Hollywood, it's likely that the start date will be postponed until the new mom is ready to appear on set.
Eastwood is still looking for a male lead anyway, Deadline reported. The delay of the film will give long time to Eastwood to find a suitable male lead role for the film.
Beyonce will play the role that was previously played by Barbra Streisand in 1976, Judy Garland in 1954, and Janet Gaynor in the 1937 original.
But post-VMA it is the only Beyonce's coming star turn in A Star is Born that people are talking about.
Former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland, told E! News at a VMA bash: I think she'll be an incredible mother.”
Back in June during an interview with Piers Morgan, Beyonce said: I always said I was going to have a baby at 30. I'm 29 now.”
But I also said I was going to retire at 30. So I don't know, she said. I am not retiring, I tell you.
Now that it is confirmed that Beyonce is pregnant, the question is, will the baby be a boy or a girl. Fans have gone gaga over this on social networks, but the answer is not known. But Beyonce has said she wants a boy.
