Bieber's BFF Lil Twist Arrested For Marijuana DUI In Bieber's Car

Rapper Lil Twist -- best known as Justin Bieber’s BFF -- was arrested on Thursday morning for driving under the influence of marijuana.

TMZ reports that 20-year-old Lil Twist -- birth name Christopher Moore -- was arrested around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday morning while driving one of Bieber’s luxury sports cars through a construction zone in Calabasas, Calif. The rapper was reportedly heading toward Bieber’s home in a gated community when he ran a red light at at a speed of 70 miles per hour through the 20 mile per hour zone.

When Lil Twist was pulled over, police found marijuana in the car and suspected that the rapper was under the influence of the drug. TMZ reports that there was a lit blunt in the car at the time. "He was stopped and he was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana," sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the Los Angeles Times.

After his arrest, Lil Twist was taken to the Malibu-Lost Hills police station, where he was detained for more than eight hours. The Los Angeles Times reports that Lil Twist was released on $5,000 bail in the early morning. The $100k electric sports car driven by Lil Twist at the time of his arrest was towed and impounded at a nearby lot. It is unknown if Lil Twist or the car’s owner, Bieber, have recovered the car, which was reportedly an 18th birthday gift to Bieber from his manager Scooter Braun.

Lil Twist is currently signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment label. His first studio album, “Bad Decisions,” is set for release in late summer 2013. The record’s first single, “Twerk,” features both Justin Bieber and Miley Cryus as guest vocalists.
