'Big Bang Theory' Creator Chuck Lorre Confirms Split From Influencer Wife

The creator of "The Big Bang Theory," Chuck Lorre, has filed for divorce from his third wife, Arielle Lorre.

Court documents reveal the estranged couple decided to part ways as early as May due to irreconcilable differences.

The former couple said the separation was based on mutual decision, Variety reported.

“It is with mutual consideration and respect that we have decided to separate. Our plan is to move forward in different directions but with great love, admiration, and gratitude for the time we shared. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your support,” they said.

Court documents also revealed the TV sitcom guru will pay spousal support and attorney’s fees in keeping with the prenuptial agreement that they signed ahead of their wedding in October 2018. The couple did not have children, but Chuck shares two children with his first wife, Paula Smith.

Smith was married to the “Dharma & Greg” creator from 1979 to 1992. After their divorce, Chuck went on to marry “Playboy” playmate Karen Witter in 2001. Their marriage lasted until 2010.

Referred to as the king of sitcoms, Chuck is known for his versatility in the entertainment industry as a TV director, writer, producer, and actor. He has produced some of the most notable sitcoms in history, including “The Big Bang Theory,” “Cybill,” “Mike and Molly,” and “Young Sheldon.”

The founder of “Chuck Lorre Productions,” he has won several awards throughout his career, including two Golden Globe Awards for his work on “Roseanne” and “Cybill.” He was also recognized at the BMI Television Music Awards in 2004, 2005, 2008, and 2009 for his sitcom “Two and a Half Men.” In March 12, 2009, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contribution in the entertainment industry.

“I love that the body of work is sustainable,” he told Variety in June about his work. “I didn’t set out to make Kleenex. We all set out to make silk hankies that you can wash and use again. And I love that, every once in a while, I will watch a 'Two and a Half Men' rerun when (co-star) Angus [T. Jones] was really little, and there was stuff I’d completely forgotten.”

Meanwhile, Arielle is a lifestyle influencer best known for her active presence on Instagram and YouTube, with her content focusing on health and wellness. She has at least 280,000 Instagram followers, and hosts “The Blonde Files” podcast.
