‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 10 First Teaser Shows Penny's Parents, Brother Talking About Drugs In Episode 1 [WATCH]
“The Big Bang Theory” Season 10 just dropped its first teaser of the premiere episode, which showed Penny (Kaley Cuoco) reuniting with her family members.
In the clip released by Entertainment Tonight, Wyatt (Keith Carradine) asked Penny how her work as a pharmaceutical sales agent is going. Penny said that her work is doing well, and she’s just been assigned to a different territory. At this point, Penny’s mom Susan (Katey Sagal) threw shade at Randall (Jack McBryer) about his drug use. “See what happens when you work hard?” Susan told Randall. “Hey, she just sells drugs. I had to make ‘em,” he then replied.
Meanwhile, Susan urged her entire family to stop talking about drugs because it is a very sensitive issue especially with Randall around. “I’d drink to that,” Wyatt said. “Haven’t you had enough?” Susan asked her estranged husband. “Penny drinks more than I do,” Wyatt said. “Well, I learn from the best,” Penny told her dad, and the two of them cheered each other on.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Steve Molaro said that Penny and Wyatt have a very close relationship with each other. The exec also confirmed that Penny and Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) intimate garden wedding will be featured in the premiere episode. “It’s small with family and friends. It’s outdoors at an arboretum in Pasadena that’s quite pretty and outdoors on our stage. It’s nice, and despite all the weirdness going on around it, you still have Leonard and Penny, who still love each other…” he said.
In other news, Cuoco recently appeared in “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where she hinted at “The Big Bang Theory” Seaoson 11’s renewal. According to the actress, some of the cast members’ contracts are up. “It’s a very expensive question for a lot of people,” she joked when asked if Season 11 is possible.
“The Big Bang Theory” Season 10 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
