‘Big Bang Theory’ Season 11, Episode 2 Title Is ‘The Retraction Reaction’?
“Big Bang Theory” Season 11, episode 2 is rumored to be titled “The Retraction Reaction.”
According to a fan-made spoiler account, the installment will be directed by Mark Cendrowski, just like all other episodes of the hit CBS series. Unfortunately, no other details from the Oct. 2 episode have been released. The spoiler account previously revealed that episode 1 is titled “The Proposal-Proposal.”
Even though CBS has yet to confirm the title for the premiere, “The Proposal-Proposal” makes sense since the episode will center on Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) proposal to Amy (Mayim Bialik). Bialik confirmed that Season 11 will pick up right where Season 10 left off, which means that fans will find out right away what happened after Sheldon popped the big question.
One surprising detail about episode 1, as stated on the spoiler account, is that “The Proposal-Proposal” will also see Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) finding out that she’s pregnant the second time around. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Bernadette will tell Howard (Simon Helberg) that they are expecting or if she will keep the information to herself for a while.
Bernadette gave birth to her and Howard’s first child, Hallie, in Season 10. But the infant still hasn’t been shown in any episode of “Big Bang Theory.”
Last year, showrunner Steve Molaro told TVLine that Hallie is a homage to Howard’s late mother, who was voiced by the late Carol Ann Susi. The matriarch was only heard in some episodes, but was never shown in the series. “She is a loving tribute to her grandmother – this is a nice way for us to keep Mrs. Wolowitz alive. It also means we don’t have to have a baby on the set, so it solved lots of problems,” he said.
But if Bernadette and Howard will have another baby and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) will be having one of their own, not showing the three babies may no longer be possible for the series.
“Big Bang Theory” Season 11 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. EDT.
