“Bazinga!” After two weeks of no new episodes of CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” Season 9, the series will be back in full swing next Thursday. Episode 19, titled “The Solder Excursion Diversion” will present a new challenge in the relationship of Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) and could change it forever.

According to the synopsis, Amy will learn a “shocking revelation” after she buys a new laptop for Sheldon. Could this revelation be related to the engagement ring that Sheldon has?

In the finale of Season 8, it was revealed that Sheldon had an engagement ring and may have been planning to pop the question to Amy before she recommended they needed some time apart. The two have since gotten back together and it was revealed that the ring is a family heirloom, which Sheldon plans to use to ask her to marry him. Amy is also aware of the ring after learning of it’s existence in episode 13. Will the episode 19 “revelation” push towards them walking down the aisle? Or will it throw a monkey wrench into Sheldon’s plans?

Meanwhile, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will both be in the doghouse in episode 19. The two lie to their wives, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), by sneaking off to an early screening of a movie. However, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) “throws them under the bus.”

If Raj does this on purpose it will be interesting to see how Leonard and Howard respond. In episode 18, Raj turned to the girls for advice on what to do about receiving a gift from his ex-girlfriend Emily (Laura Spencer). They told him not to go see her, but he ended up ignoring their recommendation and went to see her anyway. Penny and Bernadette might not be very happy with Raj either if they find this out.

After being on break for the NCAA Tournament, “The Big Bang Theory” returns Thursday, March 31 at 8 p.m. EDT.
