“Grey’s Anatomy”, “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder” are all hit shows written by the multi-talented Shonda Rhimes. Rhimes could soon be adding another one under her belt with her new show, “Inventing Anna”, about con-artist Anna Delvey.

Entertainment Weekly has reported that “Ozark” star Julia Garner and Anna Chlumsky of HBO’s “Veep” are set to play the show's main characters. The rest of the stellar cast includes Laverne Cox from “Orange Is the New Black”, Katie Lowes from “Scandal” and Alexis Floyd from “The Bold Type”.

The Netflix series was inspired by a true story written by Jessica Pressler in New York magazine called “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People”. The article covered Delvey who conned her way up the New York social ladder by pretending to be a German heiress.

Garner is set to play Delvey and Chlumsky will play the journalist who wrote the article. Variety adds that Cox will take on the role of Kacy Duke, a celebrity trainer and life coach. Elsewhere, Lowes will play a girl who is a “natural born follower” and “blind worshipper” of Delvey and Floyd will be an eager film writer who works as a hotel concierge.

Pressler will be a part of the series as a producer and Shondaland’s Betsy Beers will executive produce with Rhimes, Deadline reports.

Rhimes shared her excitement for the series by tweeting Deadline’s article on Thursday, adding, “Here we go…”.

Rhimes’ highly anticipated show will release on Netflix with 10 one-hour episodes. There is currently no information on when “Inventing Anna” will be debuting, but TV Line adds that production on the show is set to begin later this year in New York.

“Inventing Anna” will be the second for Rhimes at Netflix following the soap "Bridgerton" which will be released in 2020, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
