For Hollywood, 2018 was filled with engagements and over the top weddings, but it was also riddled with shocking breakups. While some stars will enter the new year with a significant other by their side, others will be embracing the single life.
Below is a list of the biggest celebrity breakups of 2018:
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux
Although the couple technically broke up at the end of 2017, Aniston and Theroux didn’t announce their separation until February 2018. “In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship,” the former couple said in a statement via the “Friends” alum’s publicist.
Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez
After years of an on and off relationship, Bieber and Gomez finally split for good this year, after rekindling their romance in Nov. 2017. In May 2018, E! News reported Gomez “completely moved on” Bieber and had no interest “in getting back together with him anytime soon.” Fast forward to November 2018, Bieber confirmed he was married to model Hailey Baldwin.
Offset And Cardi B
After a year of marriage, Cardi B announced her split by telling Instagram followers she and Offset “grew out of love.” Since then, the Migos rapper has been trying to win back his wife and mother of his daughter, Kulture Kiari. Earlier this month, Cardi and Offset were spotted together on a jet ski in Puerto Rico, however, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper insisted they were not back together.
Ariana Grande And Mac Miller
News of Grande and Miller’s breakup first circulated in May, after the pair went public with their romance in 2016. On Sept. 7, 2018, the actor was found dead from an apparent overdose.
Ariana Grande And Pete Davidson
Following her split from Mac Miller, Grande began dating Davidson. The two became engaged just a few weeks after they began their romance, however, the relationship began to fall apart following Miller’s death. By mid-October, the couple called off their engagement and split.
Nikki Bella And John Cena
After more than five years together, the WWE stars called it quits just weeks ahead of their scheduled wedding date. Cena and Bella first got engaged during WrestleMania 33 but began to have problems during their wedding planning process. Although they briefly reconciled and tried work things out, they split for good over the summer.

Kourtney Kardashian And Younes Bendjima
The fans of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” thought the eldest sibling finally found a steady boyfriend following her split with Scott Disick, however, her relationship with Bendjima failed to have a happily ever after.
