Bill Clinton's Past Questioned In New Netflix Docuseries, Conflicting Narratives Emerge
On Wednesday, Netflix released "Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich." As stated by the streaming service, the new docuseries focuses on how the convicted sex offender "used his wealth and power to carry out his abuses." However, the crime show also questioned the past of former President Bill Clinton as he and Epstein's victims have shared conflicting narratives regarding the time he spent with the former financier.
According to the Daily Beast, the Netflix series "contains some damning revelations" about those who once spent time with Epstein. While the former POTUS has admitted that he had been on the businessman's private jet on multiple occasions, he has continued to deny that he had ever visited Epstein's residences, including Little Saint James, Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which has also been referred to as "Pedophile Island."
However, several of those who knew Epstein stated otherwise throughout the episodes of "Filthy Rich."
"Bill Clinton has been on that island,” said Steve Scully, a former telecommunications manager for Epstein on Little Saint James from 1999-2005. "I saw Bill Clinton sitting with Jeffrey on the living room porch," he added.
Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's sex-trafficking victims, also backed up these allegations. "I remember having a dinner with Clinton. He was there, and I never saw him do anything improper. I wish, you know, he would just come clean about, like, ‘Yeah, I was there. So what? Who cares? I didn’t see anything going on,'" she stated.
As stated by the publication, Clinton's press secretary has also denied these accusations in a statement following the release of the Netflix docuseries, stating that he had not spoken to Epstein in over a decade and had never visited his properties.
This is not the only time in recent months that some have looked into the relationships in Epstein's past. Prince Andrew's alleged behavior has also been scrutinized over the course of the past year as some have stated that the Duke of York "had knowledge" of what had been taking place at Epstein's residences. Other reports have also indicated that Andrew could face legal action if he is not "released" in certain documents and that accusers have asked for new details that could potentially incriminate him.
"Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich" is now streaming on Netflix.
