Billboard Music Awards 2014 Red Carpet: The Best And Worst Dressed At The BBMAs [PHOTOS]
Flesh was all the rage Sunday night on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet, where music’s biggest stars showed off some major skin in for the ceremony held in steamy hot Las Vegas.
Jennifer Lopez, honoree of the night receiving the Icon Award, wore a red chiffon Donna Karan leotard gown with huge slits baring her entire leg. The 44-year-old singer, though, switched into a few different outfits for her performance with Pitbull, showing the world she’s a queen on and off the red carpet.
Fellow songstress Kelly Rowland also showed off her gams as well as major cleavage and midriff in a two-piece all black ensemble. The newlywed, who married manager Tim Witherspoon recently, looked beautiful and toned, but her outfit ran too much risk for a major wardrobe malfunction. Her look was quite similar to Nicki Minaj, who also wore head-to-toe black in a dress a moment away from an embarrassing slip. The rapper’s Alexander McQueen column gown had an edgy bodice revealing her midriff and major “underboob,” as the Twitterverse likes to call it. Like it or not, it’s still refreshing to see the rapper showing her natural beauty in minimal makeup.
In other midriff-baring news, Danica McKellar showed off her ripped abs in a salmon-colored cutout gown, leaving everyone with serious stomach envy. Sign us up for "Dancing With the Stars" training.
Even the younger starlets got the skin memo for the Billboard Awards, like Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Blue-haired Kylie, 16, wore a low-cut white dress while her 18-year-old sister wore a jumpsuit by Olcay Gulsen with a skimpy white bodysuit attacked to iridescent pants. Thankfully, her outfit—or lack thereof—distracted most people when she flubbed her speech as a presenter.
Other ladies flashed their skin in a much more low-key manner, like Shakira, Jordin Sparks and Chrissy Teigen who wore mini dresses for the occasion. Both Shakira and Sparks chose sparkly numbers by Julien McDonald and Michael Costello, respectively, while Teigen went with an embellished Fyodor Golan minidress.
Miranda Lambert also donned a pink mini dress with a sheer bust. While she looked radiant and very slim, the dress looked like something she picked up at Forever 21 than Georges Hobeika couture.
Even though it was a scorching hot evening in Vegas Sunday, some girls went full Hollywood in floor-length gowns. Recently out of rehab, Kesha arrived wearing a mermaid-style dress with lace applique and tulle. Carrie Underwood also went with a chartreuse and silver-sequined gown by Oriett Domenech. While the Billboards are not the exact occasion to wear such formal gowns, both ladies looked glamorous and clearly felt that way, too.
Not everyone felt the need to flash flesh, though. One star who usually leaves little to the imagination showed up—shockingly—fully covered. Amber Rose wore a classic black suit paired with oversized visor sunglasses and dark lipstick alongside rapper husband Whiz Khalifa.
Sarah Hyland also threw everyone a sartorial curve ball by wearing a matching jacket skirt combo by Emilio Pucci. Heavy on hardware and shine, the look still was too grown up for the 23-year-old actress.
