Billie Eilish Granted Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker After He Trespassed At Home

Singer Billie Eilish has been granted a temporary restraining order against an obsessive fan who could be a coronavirus carrier.

Eilish and her family filed the appropriate legal documentation to secure the order with the aid of law firm McPherson LLP, according to TMZ, after fan Prenell Rousseau sleuthed out her home location.

The 24-year-old began visiting the home a week or so ago, first coming to the family's porch and communicating with Billie's father via their Ring camera. Rousseau told him, "I think I might have the wrong house, but does Billie Eilish live here?" Even after being told he did have the wrong house, he continued to return, undeterred.

Rousseau returned the same day and sat down on the porch as the family waited for security to remove him from the property. He brought a book and sat down to read it alone, while talking to himself, all the while being asked to leave. Instead of doing that, Rousseau doubled down and then returned once more, taking shelter behind a wall to spend the night.

The next day, he returned with a vengeance: he tried to use the door handle to enter the family home, making a total of seven times that he tried to enter to no avail.

According to Billie and her team, Rousseau had not been practicing social distancing and had only been wearing a mask a few of the times he had been visiting Eilish's home to gain entrance.

Due to Rousseau's non-violent trespassing offense, he couldn't be arrested due to the initiative in place that's keeping non-violent offenders out of jail due to to the coronavirus pandemic. As of the final time he attempted to make contact with Billie, he was placed on a bus to be sent back to New York to his home.

Billie and her family are still concerned the fan could return – and could even potentially infect them with coronavirus if he ends up being a carrier. The family has not issued an official statement about the incident just yet beyond a judge granting a temporary restraining order to keep Rousseau away.
