Even after being nominated for six Grammys, Billie Eilish feels that she won’t be able to get her hands on the prestigious trophy this time around.

According to Daily Mail, the 17-year-old revealed that she does not think she will win any of the six awards she has been nominated for the music industry’s biggest night and noted that even getting nominated at such a young age is what she is grateful for.

In an interview with Capital Breakfast, the “Ocean Eyes” hitmaker explained that she is not trying to get anything on her mind which tells her that she will be emerging as a victor during the star-studded event next year. She also admitted that she is fine with not winning because getting nominated alongside such great artists is a dream come true for her.

“Oh, none. No, no, no. I swear, I am not trying to be, like, a downer and I am not trying to get, like, an answer that’s like ‘but you are!’ because genuinely, I am not [winning] and that is fine,” Eilish said.

She also noted that her family is pretty excited about the nominations since they are big fans of the Grammys.

Eilish has created history by becoming the youngest nominee ever to garner nominations in all of the Grammys four major categories. She is nominated for six Grammys, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Solo Performance.

Her immensely popular song “Bad Guy” would be competing with Bon Iver’s “Hey, Ma,” Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts,” Khalid’s “Talk,” and Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” in the Record of the Year category.

Later in the interview, when asked which musician can win big at next year’s ceremony, the “Bad Guys” singer shared that Ariana Grande “deserves” to win a lot of trophies because she literally blew everyone’s mind with her amazing music while having the “worst year” of her life.

The songstress further stated the “Thank U, Next” hitmaker is really brave to even pick up a microphone and go on stage after all the crap she has been through in recent times.

“The fact that she has made two albums basically in that amount of time is, like shocking and they are both good and that is insane,” Eilish said.

In related news, she is all set to become the youngest recipient of Billboard’s Woman of the Year award. The “Bury A Friend” singer joins the elite list of women like Taylor Swift (2011 and 2014), Lady Gaga (2015), Madonna (2016), Selena Gomez (2017), and Ariana Grande (2018), who have been recipients of the prestigious award.
