Billy Bush's Wife Sydney Davis Is Separated From Former 'Today' Show Host

President Donald Trump may have weathered the storm generated by the resurfacing of the “Access Hollywood” video tape in 2016, on which he was heard bragging about "grabbing women by their p------," things didn't pan out that well for the then NBC host Billy Bush, who also engaged in the lewd conversation.

Being part of that exchange led to Bush immediately losing his job as host of NBC's "Today" show.

According to a report by Fox News, Bush, a nephew of former President George H.W. Bush, was fired by the broadcaster two days after the 2005 tape was reported by the Washington Post on Oct. 7, 2016.

Fast forwarding a year from then, the consequences seem to have infiltrated his family life too, with a report saying he and his wife of 20 years Sydney Davis split on Sep. 19.

According to an exclusive report by Page Six, Marshall Grossman, Bush’s lawyer, said in a statement, “I can confirm they are now separated, and on a short term break.”

Grossman however, did not discuss the reason for the separation and denied the fact it was due to infidelity.

Davis, born Sydney Joanna Davis on April 6, 1972, married Bush on April 4, 1998. The couple has three daughters — Josephine, Mary and Lille.

The Page Six report also stated that the conversation Bush had with Trump in the “Access Hollywood” tape did not sit well with Davis.

The report quoted an unnamed source who said during the time when the video was leaked, “she [Davis] was so furious that she refused to speak with him [Bush] for a while — and she’s still furious. They are having marriage problems. He didn’t apologize to her for the embarrassment he caused in his statement.”

Another anonymous source, with regards to Bush and Davis splitting up, stated that Davis was “10,000 percent out of there. It’s splitsville. They are done.”

“Billy [Bush] is not a victim,” the source added.

However, a representative of Bush said, “It is not true that Billy’s wife has left him. After almost 20 years of marriage, they have separated for the moment to evaluate their life together. They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future.”

These developments come amid attempts by Trump to question the authenticity of the tapes, despite him having apologized for his words when the tapes surfaced in 2016.

Meanwhile, Bush in an op-ed column in the New York Times on Sunday reaffirmed that the voice on the tapes was that of trump.

Bush in his column wrote, “He [Trump] said it, ‘Grab ‘em by the p----.”

Bush then went on to add, “Of course he [Trump] said it. And we laughed along, without a single doubt that this was hypothetical hot air from America’s highest-rated bloviator.”

He also said that there were seven people along with him and Trump when the incident took place. He claimed all of them, along with him, assumed that they were listening to “crass standup act” by Trump.

Bush also said in the column regarding the women who have claimed to have been sexually assaulted by Trump, “I will never know the fear you felt or the frustration of being summarily dismissed and called a liar, but I do know a lot about the anguish of being inexorably linked to Donald Trump. You have my respect and admiration. You are culture warriors at the forefront of necessary change.”
