Over the weekend, the New York Post reported that police called the case a suicide attempt, citing sources. Alexa, who is a singer and pianist, took eight pills of Traumeel Saturday afternoon and wanted to die, the New York Post noted citing an anonymous source. According to the paper she called 911 on her own after taking the pills and getting panicked.

According to People Magazine, she did that after a breakup with her long time boyfriend.

Alexa is the only daughter of Billy Joel and his former wife supermodel Christie Brinkley.
