Black Eyed Peas, Jay Sean lead U.S. singles chart
The Black Eyed Peas logged an 11th week at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart Thursday with I Gotta Feeling, extending the hip-hop group's unbroken reign to 23 weeks when its previous hit Boom Boom Pow is factored in.
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey scored her 27th entry in the top 10 with Obsessed, which jumped four places to No. 11. That puts her in a tie for fifth place (with Elton John and Janet Jackson) for the most top 10s in the history of the Hot 100. Ahead of them are Madonna (37), the Beatles (34) and Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder (28 each).
Unchanged from last week were Jay Sean featuring Lil Wayne's Down at No. 2, and Miley Cyrus' Party in the U.S.A. at No. 3. Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West's Run This Town jumped two places to No. 4, and Kings of Leon slipped one to No. 5 with Use Somebody.
Taylor Swift was also down one, to No. 6, with You Belong With Me, Pitbull's Hotel Room Service rose one to No. 8, Jason DeRulo's debut single Whatcha Say jumped four to No. 9, and Drake's Best I Ever Had fell three to No. 10.
Breaking Benjamin achieved the week's highest debut with I Will Not Bow at No. 40.
