Black Friday Sale: Staples to Sell Blackberry PlayBook at $199

Black Friday, when U.S. retailers offer products at steep discounts to kick off the Christmas shopping season and hope to go into the black for the year, is two weeks away.

Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, has been the busiest shopping day since 2005. Retailers usually open stores very early on this day, sometimes at midnight.

One major category of products expected to make a big splash this year is the tablet computer, high on many wishlists this year.

And according to Electronista, U.S. office supply store Staples will be offering RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook tablet at $199 with 16GB of storage and Wi-Fi online Internet access.

This is not the first time Staples has lowered the prices on the PlayBook. Earlier in September they ran a special $100 off promotion.

The Staples advertisement for Black Friday was leaked on Wednesday. The $199 price of the PlayBook will be applicable until the store runs out of stock, or when the clock hits noon.
