BlackBerry Priv Price, Specs And Official Promo Video Surface
Upcoming BlackBerry Priv price and configuration details have been leaked by the U.K.’s Carphone Warehouse. Additionally, the company has also released an official promo video of the new device.
The price of BlackBerry Priv pertaining to the U.K. is reportedly 579.99 pounds, which is nealry $895. Notably, this device can now be preordered in the U.K., while the rest of the world can preregister at this point.
The Android powered Priv flaunts a combination of touch and physical QWERTY keyboard that slides out. Based on the Carphone Warehouse listing, the BlackBerry Priv specifications include a 5.4-inch display and QHD screen resolution. Under the hood, a hexa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 808) chipset powers the device and it comes backed by 3 GB of RAM.
It should be noted that the Priv does not come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board, instead, it settles for Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, NDTV reported. Being an upcoming device, it is safe to assume that the latest firmware will make its way to the new BlackBerry flagship eventually.
When it comes to memory specification, the BlackBerry Priv comes equipped with 32 GB of native storage space and microSD card slot for further expansion of up to a phenomenal 2 TB. Furthermore, the device sports a solid 18-megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach rear-facing camera unit, in addition to a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats. To top it all off, a massive 3,410 mAh battery unit apparently helps in keeping the lights on for a prolonged period of time.
BlackBerry has introduced a new app called “DTEK warning system” in the Priv. This app has the capability to offer enhanced “power of privacy” to the device owner. The BlackBerry phone will also support 4G LTE.
