'The Blacklist' Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 10 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'Luther Braxton: Conclusion'? [VIDEO]
“The Blacklist” ended its midseason premiere on one hell of a cliffhanger. With CIA missiles only 30 seconds away from impact with the prison holding Red (James Spader), Liz (Megan Boone), Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and Samar (Mozhan Marnò), new bad guy Luther Braxton (Ron Perlman) revealed Liz was connected to the fire that killed her father and the Fulcrum -- the CIA intelligence packet Braxton wants. Season 2 is back in a big way, and fans won’t have to wait long to find out what happens. The next episode premieres this Thursday during the show’s new 9 p.m. EST time slot. So, how will it all go down in episode 10, “Luther Braxton: Conclusion?"
According to the synopsis, it will be up to Agent Cooper (Harry Lennix) to find a way to save his FBI colleagues from the chaos at the CIA detention facility. After giving Braxton the code to the prison’s computer system to protect Samar from torture, the CIA launched missiles to blow up the site before Braxton could steal confidential information. Cooper must now race to get his friends out in time and in one piece. Meanwhile, Braxton, whose plan was temporarily thwarted when Liz blew up the server room, will still be searching for the Fulcrum.
The promo for the episode, however, reveals a big wrinkle in Cooper’s plan. After realizing Liz’s connection to the Fulcrum -- fans are still in the dark as to what that connection might be -- Braxton will kidnap the FBI Agent. No one will be more upset by this than Red, who will be desperate to get her back. A scene in the promo reveals that by using some sort of memory-jogging therapy, Braxton will try to get Liz to remember the fire that killed her father. She does appear to remember something rather shocking, leaping up and yelling, “My father! My father was there!” Is she talking about Red? Will the episode finally reveal her father’s identity?
Watch the promo for episode 10 below.
What is the connection between Liz and the Fulcrum? And can Red save Liz from Braxton? Fans will have to wait to find out. “The Blacklist” picks up with episode 10 in its new time slot, Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
