In the last episode of NBC’s “The Blacklist, Red (James Spader) helped Liz (Megan Boone) take down an entire cult. When Season 2 continues with episode 13, “The Deer Hunter,” the pair will be on the trail of one bad guy -- but that does not mean their job will be any easier.

According to the synopsis for episode 13, the next target on Red’s blacklist will be a mysterious serial killer, known as the Deer Hunter, who hunts his victims with a crossbow like prey. Red says the Deer Hunter has been active for over 10 years, but Liz, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and the FBI have never been able to catch him. In a sneak peek clip for the episode, Red has a theory as to why the killer has remained so elusive. He believes the Deer Hunter is not a “he," but is actually a woman.

To make matters more exciting, the promo for the episode teases some big news – Tom (Ryan Eggold) is back! The investigation into the harbor master murder – from the midseason finale – is still ongoing and it is only a matter of time before the police come after Liz. The only person who could clear the FBI agent’s name is her estranged, double-agent husband. Is he coming out of hiding to help her or does he just have business with Red? Perhaps, fans will get more information on Tom’s secret relationship with Reddington.

Will Red and Liz be able to catch the Deer Hunter? What will Tom be up to when he returns? Fans will have to wait to find out. “The Blacklist” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
