'The Blacklist' Season 2 Spoilers: How Will 'Breaking Bad' Actress Shake Up The NBC Drama?
As NBC's "The Blacklist" gears up for its second season, the show is adding new names to the cast. Krysten Ritter will join Season 2 in a guest appearance, TV Line reports. The sophomore season of the crime drama premieres Sept. 22 on NBC.
Ritter is best known for her roles in AMC's "Breaking Bad," as Jane, and in the ABC comedy "Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23," as Chloe. The 32-year-old actress will play a "a troubled data security firm analyst" alongside leads James Spader and Megan Boone.
How will Ritter fit into the show? Sam Barsanti of entertainment website, the A.V. Club, believes she will have a major impact. "Ritter certainly seems to have a knack for waltzing into TV shows, stirring up some kind of horrible drama," writes Barsanti. "We don’t remember exactly what she did on 'Veronica Mars' or 'Gilmore Girls,' but we know it wasn’t good. Plus, her character on 'Breaking Bad' pretty much destroyed the best meth-making team of all time, and her character on 'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23' was basically an evil super villain."
Is Ritter perhaps the next villian on Reddington's "Blacklist?" Or is she a loyal associate of his whom Liz will have to navigate as she hunts down more criminals? We'll have to wait for the premiere to find out!
Ritter is the latest in a slew of announced guest stars for the hit NBC series, including Mary-Louise Parker ("Weeds") and Mozhan Marnò ("House of Cards"). Both Ritter and Parker will appear when Season 2 premieres on September 22 on NBC.
