'The Blacklist' Season 3 Spoilers: Mozhan Marnò Teases Big Episode For Dembe, Mr. Solomon
Season 3 of NBC's "The Blacklist" has been all about the FBI's manhunt for Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader), and at the end of episode 2 fans found out that Tom (Ryan Eggold) is coming back! It has been a busy first two hours of the season, almost busy enough for fans to forget that Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) was kidnapped by Cabal assassin Mr. Soloman (Edi Gathegi). However, in episode 3, "Eli Matchett," fans will learn more about the unfortunate fate of Red's right hand man.
Mozhan Marnò, who plays FBI agent Samar Navabi on "The Blacklist," says Dembe will be a major factor in episode 3.
"Dembe is going to have some things to contend with in this episode," Marnò told the Hollywood Reporter.
She is not kidding. Red and Liz may have successfully avoided the Cabal thus far, but Mr. Solomon has been working Dembe to get their location out of the bodyguard. In the Season 3 premiere, Solomon warned Dembe that he had taken his daughter and his daughter's mother hostage and would kill them if he did not agree to surrender to them. Now Dembe is in the Cabal's hands and is being tortured to give up Red's hideout. Will he break? Fans will have to wait to find out.
Marnò, who teasess that Mr. Solomon is a "nefarious character," says the rest of Season 3 will keep fans on their toes.
"[The writers have] done a pretty great job of busting open the war room and busting open the established structure of the show, and all bets are off," said Marnò. "Everybody's going a little rogue. This season, everyone's all over the place."
Elsewhere in episode 3, the synopsis reveals that Red and Liz will be bound for the Midwest in their quest to take down the Cabal and clear Liz's name. Meanwhile, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff), Navabi and Aram (Amir Arison) will discover what could become a global food crisis. Then, of course, there is Tom, who wants to help Ressler keep Liz out of danger.
